Hi, I’m Mada Leanga

I am Romanian by birth and culture, American by circumstance and curious by nature.

I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, former corporate professional, career changer, sound therapy practitioner and someone whose ADHD ensures life is rarely boring.

After 7 years in the corporate world, I decided that I was more interested in understanding people than marketing to them. Over 18 years in psychotherapy later, I am still fascinated by why we do what we do, especially when we know better.

My experience spans psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and clinical supervision, with training in EMDR, IFS, ACT, hypnotherapy. My work is informed by a feminist perspective and a commitment to social justice. I believe understanding people also means understanding the cultural, social and systemic forces shaping their lives.

Alongside psychotherapy sound therapy as distinct service, exploring the role of sound, attention and rest in well being.

I value curiosity, honesty, humor and the ability to have conversations that matter.

As for my ADHD, I can connect five unrelated ideas in seconds but occasionally I forget why I walked into a room. Its taught me that intelligence and executive functioning dont always collaborate.

I take my work seriously. Myself, considerably less so.
